Golf Cart/UTV Permits Now Available for the 2026-2027 Year!

The Village of Indianola is excited to announce that Golf Cart/UTV Permits for the 2026–2027 year are now available! Residents who wish to operate golf carts or UTVs within Village limits must complete an application to obtain a permit.

How to Apply

Download and Complete the Application

Download the Golf Cart/UTV Permit application form and complete all required fields.

Submit Your Application

Submit your completed application to the Village Clerk’s Office by mail or in person.

Pay Permit Fees

A $50 permit fee is required to process the application. Payment details are included on the application form.

Permit Renewals

Residents renewing an existing permit must provide updated proof of insurance along with the renewal fee.

Why Apply for a Golf Cart/UTV Permit?

Having a permit allows residents to legally operate approved golf carts and UTVs on designated Village streets, providing added convenience and mobility within the community while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Permit Duration

The permit is valid for the 2026–2027 year. All permits issued during this cycle will expire on April 30, 2027. Renewal information will be provided closer to the expiration date.

Resident Complaint Form

The Village of Indianola provides a Resident Complaint Form for individuals who wish to report concerns related to property maintenance, animals running at large, or other potential ordinance violations. The form helps the Village document and track issues so they can be reviewed and addressed in a consistent and fair manner. Complaints may be submitted with or without contact information. Once submitted, the information will be reviewed by Village administration and handled in accordance with Village ordinances and procedures.

Tentative Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2025-2026

The Village of Indianola has prepared the tentative tax levy for the fiscal year 2025-2026. Residents and interested parties are encouraged to review the document, which outlines the proposed property tax rates and allocations for Village operations.

The tentative tax levy will be available for public inspection at the post office or the Village Hall by appointment only. A copy may also be downloaded here.

The Village Board will consider the final tax levy during its upcoming public meeting. Residents are welcome to attend and provide input. The meeting will take place at November 12, 2025, at Village Hall.

Invitation to Bid on Surplus Property

The Village of Indianola is accepting sealed bids for the sale of surplus property that is no longer necessary for municipal operations. Items are being sold as-is, with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.

Correction Notice:
A double-seat firetruck spring rider was mistakenly included in an earlier version of this notice. That item is not available for bid and has been removed from the surplus list.

Surplus Items Available:

  • Dunk tank trigger mechanism
  • Aluminum/wood stairs (formerly used with dunk tank)
  • Four-seat vintage theater seating
  • Eight (8) miscellaneous batteries
  • Cotton candy machine

Bid Submission Instructions:

  • Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked:
    “Surplus Property Bid – [Item Name]”
  • Bidders may submit offers on one or more items.
  • Each bid must include:
    • Bidder’s full name and contact information
    • A clear description of the item(s) being bid on
    • The proposed bid amount for each item
